Upholstery Cleaning

How often should I clean my upholstery?

We always suggest that our customers follow the manufactures recommendations. However, if it’s a high traffic piece we recommend every 9-12 months.

How does Fleming Carpet Cleaning clean upholstery?

We use our powerful equipment mounted on our truck, just like the carpets, but with a different tool.  Some fabrics do require a more delicate hand in which case we adjust our products.

How long does furniture take to dry?

Dry time can be affected by many variables such as: temperature, humidity and air flow to the area. Typical dry time is 6-12 hours.

What about the manufacturer’s protective coating?

Along with daily living and dry soils that can deteriorate the original protective coating, our cleaning process can also remove some of that.  We offer (for an additional charge) to reapply a coating in certain upholstery.

Tile Cleaning

How do you clean my tile?

Fleming Carpet Cleaning uses a high pressure rotary tool that comes equipped with dual rotating jets.  This equipment is mounted on the same truck-mount steam/pressure cleaning that we use to clean your carpets.  We also pay close attention to your grout line and use specific products to remove the dirt that is embedded on the grout line.

How often should my tile be cleaned?

As with any type of flooring many factors come into account, such as: the amount traffic in the area, children, pets, and routine floor care will indicate how often your tile and grout must be cleaned.

How long will it take to clean my tile?

Typically, for and average size room, tile cleaning can take approximately 45-60 minutes.  However, this can vary based on the size of the room, amount of soil in grout lines, and room configuration.  Then we can seal the grout line at an additional cost.

Why should my grout lines be sealed?

Just like carpet, grout is a porous material that will absorb soil and spills. Having a sealant applied will generate a protective barrier, giving you more time to clean up dirt and liquid spills before they soak into the grout. The type of sealant you choose will determine the degree of stain resistance.

How long do I have to stay off the floor once the tile has been cleaned and resealed?

To preserve the life of the sealant, we recommend 30-45 minutes in order for the seal to dry completely.  Please avoid bleach and other harsh chemical cleaners as these can wear away the sealant and cause it to break down prematurely.
